How to Get Started and Create a Campaign

Step 1. Sign up

To get started, you need to sign up for an account by filling out the registration form. Usually, this process doesn’t take much time because it requires specifying not a lot of information: work email address, instant messenger, and experience with push and pop traffic. The process of setting up postback is enough easy task, especially when there are a lot of step-by-step guides that can be found on the “Tracking” tab. On top of that, you can check whether you set up a tracker properly with test conversion in the ad account. Just go to the link generated by your tracker, and then click the Make a conversion button. If you have done everything correctly, your conversion should be reflected in the tracker interface.

Reports

Here, you can generate reports on the results of old ad campaigns by choosing any campaign metrics you want. Created reports will be available for download in Excel format.

Once you click on the New campaign button, you will be redirected to the page with ad format options. Here, you can choose the preferable campaign type: push, pops, in-page or direct click.

Feel free to check out a brief explanation of ad formats and the best verticals recommendations of them. As soon as you decide on the ad format, click “Start.”

Name your campaign

Any created campaign on the ad platform has a name by default, for example, Campaign 84273223. Probably, such a name won’t help you quickly identify it later. So, you can give your campaign another name that will be more comfortable for you.

Before launching a campaign, it is crucial to define the campaign type that implies the optimization strategy. RichAds offers three optimization options.

2. Performance Mode. When running a Performance Mode campaign, you will be provided with black- and whitelists that relate to the most converting sources every week. This means you don’t have to spend time selecting traffic sources, as the system will do it by itself. Setting up tracking, meanwhile, is optional;
3. Manual CPC. You have to optimize advertising campaigns on your own: adjust bids and sources, choose the most converting creatives, change targetings, etc.

This Manual CPC strategy is suitable for all Richads’ users as this way helps to test an offer and understand how campaign optimization works. As recommended by the support team, it is better to start with manual optimization and then scale the ad campaign with the Target CPA or the Performance Mode. Both features are great for the optimization process. Bear in mind that the Performance Mode, unlike the Target CPA, requires no setup of the tracker.

Upload creatives

In RichAds’ opinion, it is better to add at least 5 creatives for A/B testing. Since nothing is known about subscribers of push notifications, split tests are important to understand the needs of the target audience. Affiliate marketers can upload their creatives or make use of manager services provided that they deposit $500.

No wonder that RichAds team come up with the idea of how to ease the work of affiliate marketers again. And for once, it is a ready-made pack that contains a lot of icons for offers on different verticals. Besides, you can reuse previously uploaded icons in the following campaigns.

Choose GEO for your offer

You can select a country, regions and cities. Also, the ad system offers multi-geo options, which means that you can duplicate a created campaign with other geo-targetings.

Decide on devices and choose a bid

Total impressions of an ad campaign may vary greatly, depending on the device type: mobile or desktop. So, it is clear that bids and other campaign parameters will be different.
